Carly’s Tips: Troublesome Lily Pollen

How many times have you bought some gorgeous Oriental Lilies only to notice a few days later that their messy pollen is all over the place? Endless times I’m guessing. If you love the delicious smell of the flower but hate the pollen problem, don't worry it's easy to solve.

Tips:

 1. When the Lillie is at full bloom pinch off the anther (the orange pollen) from the tip of the flower.
 2. If any pollen already fell onto the leaves use a small paintbrush or makeup brush to remove them.
 3. The most effective way to remove pollen stains from your clothing is to place the stained clothing into a plastic zip lock bag and freeze it for a few hours. When it’s frozen brush off the pollen.
